$$$. The Waka Gangga is beautifully located in a cluster of rice paddy fields above the Indian Ocean. The problem is that this Resort is only suitable if you wish to get away from it all. Its remote location on Balis North West Coast is a plus, or minus, depending on what you are looking for. There are 10 bungalows in total.

The Waka Resorts have luxury properties throughout Bali but this is, by far, their most remote. The restaurant was beautifully located but we were not impressed by the quality of the food. The staff were eager to please though, and quickly recooked my order to my satisfaction.

The villas are very comfortable and have sweeping views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Rooms are spacious and the pool clean. A beautiful black sand beach is a minute away from your villa.

We wished that more attention be paid to keeping everything spiffy though. There is a slight air that the Waka Gangga is due for spring-cleaning.
